Virtual linesmen in the Soccer field

First of all I want to make clear the reason why I chose this topic.
I did it mainly because I like sports very much and specially Soccer,
Also because I think that this kind of topics are the ones that you
can talk or discuse with anybody. Well, mainly man but some girls
like them too.

Since I'm a Football fan there is controversy with the linesman work,
but With sensors packed into the pitch and microchip technology
aiding crucial decisions, angry fans would no longer be able to berate
the hapless assistant referee. However, with this technology people
will not be able to give an opinion about the game, every whistle will
be a right sanction. Nobody could say anything about a linesman
sanction and the referee factor would disappear.

The Orange Future of Football Report polled sports experts to look at
the possible impact of technology over the next 10 to 15 years, and
found science fiction might soon become fact. And here is where we have
our debate;

is it necessary to use a virtual linesman in a football match?

do the people need to give opinions about a referee's work to enjoy this sport?

I think football is a game that is full of human error, players linesmen and refs, the game is about human error if you study the science of it, and a simple malfunction could set the whole crowd going crazy, and in my opinion would cause more trouble than its worth,no i dont like it simple as that.

although we have all suffered incorrect decisions while watching our teams, this is something that would only destroy the excitement that football creates. Looking at technology now inplemented in tennis, never again will you have another McInroe moment - that drama and passion will not be seen again as players can now challenge and have decisions over ruled. The premiership, and football in general, is not the worlds most popular league and sport for no reason. it's because we have drama, excitement, passion and dispair in every game that's played. if something like this was to happen, never again would you have decisions that won us the world cup, decisions that are still talked about over 40 years after they happened. all sports have suffered this due to technology that was been brought in to supposedly improve the game. This should never be allowed to happen to the beautiful game.

it is a stupid idea human error makes the game less predictable.

I think that this is a great idea that will change soccer in a positive way. This technolgy will eliminate human error and will make of soccer a fair game. People will be able to give an opinion about the game. On the other hand, what they will not say is how unfair a game was. People will also be sure that the game they are watching has not been previously arranged as they used to think when they were witnesses of an unfair whistle of a linesman.
